Officer John Lyons of the Cleveland Police Department occasionally brings his work home with him, and when he does, he saves lives. The officer lives and works in Cleveland’s Fourth District, where he helps keep the communities safe by rescuing homeless animals that he discovers abandoned and malnourished on the streets.

On the work, he frequently encounters neglected and dogs, which he returns to the jail until his shift is finished. He then takes them home and goes to work looking for loving homes for the dogs. He came upon a sickly mastiff mix while out on patrol one evening.

She was not only in bad shape, but she was also heavily pregnant. He felt she needed care right quickly, so he caught her and took her to Westpark Animal Hospital for an examination. He named the dog Clarice and carried her home with him so he could keep an eye on her till her puppies were born.

In his garage, he created a wonderful, relaxing space for her. He got famous after a photo of him napping at Clarice’s side as she prepared to give birth went viral! When the time came, John was there to assist Clarice in giving birth to a litter of seven puppies.

He called Amy’s Adoptables to see if they could help him because he knew once the puppies were born, they all need loving homes! Such a touching story, have a look at the video for more, leave your comment, and spread out the video on social media.
